The Corn Mill Suite
Wedding Vow Renewal

The perfect Venue for your wedding vow renewal celebration

Wedding vows are renewed for lots of different reasons. Many couples choose to renew their vows to include family members or friends who could not attend their wedding, whilst others renew to commemorate a special anniversary or milestone. There is no better way to commemorate a milestone wedding anniversary such as the 10th, 25th or even a 30th or 50th, than with a special vow renewal ceremony at The Corn Mill Suite. Some couples renew their vows to include the celebration of the birth of a child.

Renewing wedding vows can often make couples feel more devoted to each other and give them a sense of foreverness, as it is a celebration of their marriage and a reinforcement of the union and promises they made to each other on their wedding day.

Whatever your reasons for renewing your wedding vows there is no better place to do it than The Corn Mill Suite at Mill House.

A typical wedding vow renewal day:

  • Glass of Champagne or aperitif of your choice with nibbles on arrival.
  • Renewal of your wedding vows in our dedicated wedding ceremony room together with your Family and Friends.
  • Retire to The Corn Mill Suite Lounge Bar for pre-dinner drinks with your guests.
  • Progress through to The Corn Mill Suite Banqueting Room to enjoy a meal of your choice.
  • Post-dinner drinks in The Corn Mill Suite Lounge Bar.
  • Then dance the evening away with Family and Friends to a local DJ or Live Music.
  • Cloaks and carriages.

Planning your wedding vow renewal ceremony

The beauty of a vow renewal ceremony is that you can structure it exactly as you wish. There are no hard and fast rules or restrictions, traditional elements of a wedding do not need to be included unless you wish to do so. However, the bride may wish to wear a full white wedding dress again, and the groom a tuxedo and bow tie, the choice is yours. In fact, many couples choose to have a lavish celebration because the original wedding was lower key due to financial issues or time constraints.

There is no requirement to obtain an additional marriage licence; however, if you are planning an extravagant event, you will have a similar amount of planning to do as for any wedding. However, as a vow renewal is not a religious or legal ceremony, effectively anyone can officiate, you could even ask a member of your family or a friend. Or you could hire a Celebrant, who will undertake the entire planning of your wedding vow ceremony precisely as you specify, or you could recreate the experience of planning the event yourself, the choice is yours, but please speak to our Events Manager for advice on planning your extra special day at The Corn Mill Suite.
