Freemasons support Charities, not only our own Masonic Charities but also non-Masonic Charities and the Community in general.
In April 2016 the Masonic Charitable Foundation brought together the four main Masonic Charities under one umbrella.
Freemasonry in the Community
The Community Fund (ELMC)
The East Lancashire Masonic Charity is here to care for and to afford charitable assistance to needy Freemasons or their widows or to any of their dependent relatives, and to reach out to others in the communities in which we live who are deserving of our charitable support.

Hewlett Court was opened in 1979 as a Masonic Retirement Home for the elderly. The home belongs to the East Lancashire Masonic Charity [ELMC] which has cared for Freemasons and their dependants for over a century. The home prides itself on its friendly family atmosphere.
Hewlett Court is registered with the Local Authority as 'Sheltered Housing'. It is not a Nursing or Convalescent Home and therefore the home is not permitted to provide nursing care to residents and short stay guests.
